Sales Examination Check -Up

The Naked Hoof offers examinations of horses that you are buying or selling to help ensure that your horse is a good buy/sale. While not a traditional "vet check" performed by a qualified veterinarian, we examine and advise on the following:

• Determine levels of hoof contraction and other pathologies, hoof wall damage, and overall shape and health of hooves.
• Scan feet for hot spots of inflammation.
• Examine horse for any identifiable lameness or muscle/tendon problems.
• Determine any conformational issues or problems.
• Photos taken of horse, all feet (in various positions) and any problems
• Temperature, respiration rate and heart rates can also be given if prior notice is given.

A written report (including photos on disc if desired) will be provided stating the results of the examination which you can use to buy or sell your horse.

NOTE: This examination does not include blood tests, X-rays or other veterinary tests. If done they are at the initiative of the buyer/seller and not The Naked Hoof. We will be happy to evaluate and comment on such data.

Examination Fee: $70 GST included
excludes mileage charge of $.35 a km to and from site.
